Welcome to Yerwa Foundation, established in 2017 with a commitment to making lasting impact on the lives of displaced individuals forced to flee their homes due to prolonged violence or, more recently, severe flooding.
As a homegrown NGO rooted in Nigeria, our core mission is to deliver sustainable relief and essential services to these affected communities nationwide, enabling them to reclaim as normal a life as possible. Through dedicated efforts, we strive to address the unique challenges faced by those grappling with displacement, working towards fostering resilience and restoring a sense of normalcy in their lives
AS AT THE START OF 2023, THERE WERE 3.6 MILLION DISPLACE PEOPLE IN NORTH EASTERN NIGERIA ALONE.
We are committed to improving access to quality healthcare services, particularly in underserved and conflict-affected areas. Through our health initiatives, we strive to enhance the well-being and resilience of communities particular those that are unable to afford life saving treatments and surgeries.
Education is a fundamental human right, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow. Yerwa Foundation is actively involved in fee paying and School adoption initiatives that promote access to quality education, especially for children in crisis-affected regions.
We recognize that sustainable development is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and adversity. Through our sustainable growth programs, we work to empower communities to become self-reliant and resilient, fostering long-term positive change.
We deliver Foundation relief to those affected by disasters, including both insurgency-induced displacement and flooding. We understand that in times of crisis, the basic necessities of food and shelter become paramount. That's why we actively engage in distributing essential items such as food supplies and blankets to displaced individuals and communities By providing warmth and sustenance, we aim to offer solace and hope.
